alt-J has won critical accolades since its debut, selling over a million records to its devoted fanbase. After taking some much-needed time off from touring and recording — and from and each other — the band recorded its latest album, Relaxer, and gave a phenomenal live performance for Morning Becomes Eclectic.

Washed Out's Ernest Greene stopped by to perform a live set featuring cuts from his new album, Mister Mellow, all synced to custom visuals created exclusively for the release. Greene's chillwave sound has evolved on the new album and fits perfectly in the mold of his new label home, Stones Throw Records.

Natalia Lafourcade has been one of Latin America's leading indie-pop artists for many years. Her latest album, Musas, is a tribute to some of her musical inspirations, featuring famed acoustic guitar masters Los Macorinos. A standout of this session is one of her original compositions, "Tú Sí Sabes Quererme."

We have high hopes for Los Angeles band Lo Moon. The band came out of the gate with an excellent seven-minute debut single, and we've loved everything it has released since. Lo Moon premiered a new song during its live session that we are happy to share, called "Real Love."

Beth Ditto is a force of nature. Her incredible voice and charming personality earned her dance-punk band Gossip an international following, and those same qualities now drive her solo career. We hosted her for a live KCRW session to celebrate the release of Fake Sugar, her full-length debut under her own name.

The acoustic set he performed for KCRW featured many new tracks — including this unreleased song, "Trouble Waits For You."

The seven-year wait for a new record from Canadian collective Broken Social Scene was well worth it. The crew returned to our studio in great spirits and debuted "Stay Happy," featuring newcomer Ariel Engle, from the new album Hug Of Thunder.

We've had our eye on Nick Hakim for a while and, with the release of his debut full-length album, Green Twins, he's proved himself worthy of the attention. We love his hazy neo-soul, especially the song "Cuffed."

Kansas City native Kevin Morby relocated to Los Angeles a few years ago, but his latest album, City Music, is a dedication to another former home: New York City. Morby has a voice and perspective well beyond his 29 years, and we thoroughly enjoyed his live session.
